James Mann (writer)

James Mann (born 1946) is an American journalist, and senior writer-in-residence at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.[1]

Life

He graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in sociology. He worked for The Washington Post, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. He served as Chief of the Beijing Bureau of the Los Angeles Times from 1984 to 1989.[2]

His work appeared in The New Republic,[3] and Atlantic Monthly.[4]
